2I's Reunion Concert

Jay and Vince EagerAs a former resident singer at the famous 2I’s Coffee Bar in Soho’s Old Compton Street, London in the late fifties, early sixties, Jay was asked to perform at the sell-out ‘2I’s Reunion’ concert at the 100 Club, Oxford Street, London on Sunday 28th January with Chas McDevitt, Vince Eager, Terry Wayne, Wee Willie Harris, Buddy Britten and many more.

The reunion celebrated the fact that the original site of the 2I’s now has an official historic blue plaque commemorating that it is the recognised birthplace of British Rock ‘n Roll.

As the concert was sold out weeks in advance, with a huge waiting list for returned tickets, the promoters ‘Tales From The Woods’ are in discussions to book a larger venue for a return date possibly later in 2007 - details to be announced.
